Jaiswal's 13-Ball Fifty
Yashasvi Jaiswal reached fifty in 13 deliveries for Rajasthan Royals against Kolkata Knight Riders in 2023. It was one of the most rapid starts recorded in an IPL innings and set the standard for subsequent powerplay batting milestones.
Urvil Patel Matches the Record
Urvil Patel also reached fifty in 13 balls during IPL 2026 for Chennai Super Kings against Lucknow Super Giants. This means the fastest-fifty mark is shared in the 2026 record snapshot rather than held by one player alone.
Why Ball-by-Ball Context Matters
A fast fifty can come from sixes, boundaries or strike rotation, and its team value depends on the match situation. Check the official scorecard for innings position and dismissal details. The count is based on balls faced, not the number of minutes at the crease.
